The 1949-1950 Chevy bracketed dual voice coil speaker is a bracketed 5"x7" speaker that has two tweeters on it. The speaker bracket is designed to fit over the shafts of your radio behind your dash in order to mount where your original speaker grille is located. One tweeter will handle the left channel while the other will handle the right channel in order to provide you with stereo sound from a single, mono location. The 1949-1950 Chevy bracketed, bracketed dual voice coil dash speaker is the one we recommend for applications with this specific bracket and speaker size application. The dual voice coil speaker has more cone, surface area to provide better mid-range response. On the dual dash mount speakers, including the Kenwood, the center of plate is not creating any midrange sound whereas on the dual voice coil speaker it is. This 1949-1950 Chevy bracketed dual voice coil speaker has 4 wire connections on the back, (+) & (-) for the left channel, and (+) & (-) for the right channel.
