If you want the best sound quality for your dollar, this 1967-1968 Impala Hertz Stereo Kit is probably the best value we offer. Hertz is known for their high-quality speakers and they make some of the best sounding speakers available. With this kit, we offer both the Hertz Dieci series or the Audison Prima series. Both series of speakers are very efficient and sensitive, meaning that the sound quality given the amount of power is far superior than most other speakers on the market. With this Hertz Audison premium kit, we offer your choice of Rockford Fosgate amplifier. We have found that these Rockford amps work very well with the Hertz speakers and they also offer great value with their power output and compact chassis size. This kit includes your choice of Custom Autosound radio, a Hertz/Audison dash speaker, a pair of Hertz/Audison 6x9 speakers, your choice of Rockford Fosgate amplifier, an amplifier wiring kit, 25 feet of speaker wire, and the option to add a subwoofer.
For the radio, we offer three different options, the USA-230, the USA-630, or the USA-740. The USA-230 is a basic AM/FM radio with an auxiliary input. The USA-630 has AM/FM, auxiliary input, a USB port, the option to add Bluetooth, and the option to add an external CD player. The USA-740 has everything the USA-630 has except Bluetooth comes built into the radio instead of an external option. The USA-740 also has a subwoofer pre-out and control, and the LCD display can change between 7 different color options. The USA-740 does not come with the manufacturer's logo like the USA-230 and USA-630 do.
For the speaker options, we offer the Hertz Dieici speakers as well as the option to upgrade to the Audison Prima for applications that fit the dual, 4" dash speaker. The Hertz Dieci speakers sound better than any other speakers at their price point due to the high sensitivity and efficiency. If you want the best of the best, upgrade to the Audison Prima speakers. They do need the amplifier to really get going, but if you have the power, they are flat out the best speakers we offer.
We offer 4 different amplifier options with this kit. If you are going to add a subwoofer, we recommend going with a 5 channel amp. You can make a 4 channel work by bridging the rear channel and just running all 4 speakers off of the front, but we don't recommend it due to tuning and the difference in power handling between the 6x9's and the dash speaker. If you select the Dieci speakers, the 400 watt mini Rockford amp will work great and sound fantastic. If you upgrade to the Audison Prima, upgrade the the Power Mini 400W amp. It will sound better and you will appreciate the better sound quality. Same thing goes for the 5 channel amps. If selecting Dieci speakers and a subwoofer, the Prime 600 watt 5 channel is perfect, the 1000 watt is probably overkill. If you choose to upgrade to the Prima speakers, go with the 1000 watt mini 5 channel.
For the subwoofer, if you are choosing the Dieci speakers, the Hertz DBX25.3 is the sub to go with. If you upgrade to Prima, you can still go with the Hertz sub, but the 10" Audison low profile is an amazing woofer. If you are willing to spend the money for the best by upgrading to the Prima, just cry once, get the Audison sub and smile when you hear your favorite songs sounding just like the artist intended.
