Description
This stereo kit will deliver the ultimate in sound quality in your 1973-1987 Chevy truck.  This kit features Q Logic, 6.5" component speaker enclsoures along with your choice of radio. speakers, amplifier, and the option to add a subwoofer.  This package offers some of the best sound quality possible for a sound system that you can install yourself.  The Q Logic enclosures allow you to install 6.5" component speakers for the best listening experience possible.  The design of the enclosure points the tweeters toward the driver's and passenger's heads so that they highs are pointing in your direction.  The Q forms enclosures accept deeper speakers than the other packages we offer allowing us to offer better, higher quality speakers.  With this kit, it is basically a 3 speaker setup with two component speakers in the kick panels and a subwoofer.  In your 1973-1987 Chevy truck with the speakers we offer, the amplifier, and a subwoofer, it will be more than loud enough.  It will also just sound better as quantity is not necessarily better than quality.  If you are looking to put a high quality, well balanced, home theater type stereo system in your classic truck, look no further.  

Here's our break down of the options:

Radios:
  • USA-230: Basic AM/FM with AuxiliaryInput
  • USA-630: AM/FM with auxiliary input, USB Port, the option to add Bluetooth, and the option to add the CD-1 external CD player
  • USA-740: Bluetooth built in.  AM/FM, auxiliary input, USB port, subwoofer pre-out, 7 color LCD display

Speakers:
  • Rockford Fosgate Punch: PEI dome tweeters that will be brighter than silk dome tweeters and more noticeable highs - Super Efficient and for the price, they sound great
  • Rockford Fosgate Power T1: Silk dome tweeters but still with that Rockford sound for those that like it LOUD!  Our favorite Rockford speakers before getting into the $600+ price range.  Extremely good value.  
  • Infinity Reference Series: Great value and sound quality.  Infinity by Harman is a name that most people know.  These speakers are rated at 3 ohm for more power from the amp than traditional, 4 ohm speakers
  • Kicker KS Series: Very popular, great sounding speakers with silk dome tweeter for rich, warm, balanced sound
  • JL Audio C2: Silk dome, super efficient speakers from one of the most trusted names in car audio.  JL is known for sound quality and these speakers live up to the reputation
  • JBL Stadium GTO: These are our favorite speakers available in the kit.  These speakers sound incredible and out perform other $600+ speakers on the market.  2 ohm rating gets more power from the amp so that they play cleaner, clearer, and louder than 4 ohm speakers.  Simply put these sound amazing and they are well worth the money.  Add the 2" JBL Midrange to put in the dash location for an unreal setup!

Amplifiers:
  • JL Audio 600W 3 Ch. Mini:  Perfect amplifier for this kit.  Small, compact chassis with great out.  No need for bridging or extra channels
    • 75Wx4 at 4 Ohms
    • 100Wx4 at 2 Ohms
    • 400Wx1 at 2 Ohms - Subwoofer Channel
  • JL Audio 500W 3 Ch: Cleaner circuitry and a full size, 3 channel amp.  Even though it is rated at 500 watts, it will sound better than the 600 watt mini.
    • 75Wx4 at 4 Ohms
    • 100Wx4 at 2 Ohms
    • 300Wx1 at 2 Ohms - Subwoofer Channel
  • JL Audio 900W 5 Ch:  Perfect if you want to add aditional speakers.  Has LED clipping indicators for perfect gain setting and optimal sound
    • 70Wx4 at 4 Ohms
    • 100Wx4 at 2 Ohms
    • 500Wx1 at 2 Ohms - Subwoofer Channel
  • Rockford Fosgate 1000W Mini 5 Ch: Our favorite 5 channel amp for the money.  True 1000 watts of clean power in a super compact chassis.  This amp just flat out rocks.  This is the same amp that is in our owner's daily driver.
    • 100x4 at 4 or 2 Ohms
    • 600x1 at 2 Ohms - Subwoofer Channel

Subwoofers:
  • JL Audio 8" W3: Super compact, 8" ported enclosure that flat out rocks.  This is an 8" that sounds like a 12".  Not too much bass that it is going to shake the earth, but just the right amount so that it fills out that bottom end for a well balanced, home theater quality sound
  • Kicker 8" Comp R Tube: Another fantastic sounding 8" woofer that will easily fit in the cab of your truck and sounds way bigger than an 8.  Perfect for well balanced sound.  Features a passive radiator so that you get the performance of a port without the port noise
  • Rockford P3 Shallow: Great sounding 12" shallow woofer at a competitive price.  400 watt RMS power handling.  Super compact box.  Just like the other two options, fills in that bottom end but won't rattle the earth.
  • Rockford T1 Shallow:  Full size woofer performance in a super shallow enclosure.  We love this subwoofer and it just gets the job done.
  • Kicker Comp RT:  Amazing subwoofer.  Enclosure comes with a passive radiator which gives you the performance of a port but without the port noise.
Here's our recommendations:
Radio:  USA-740 - Bluetooth built in and it has a separate subwoofer pre-out and control that the USA-230 and USA-630 do not.
Speakers:  Rockford Power T1 or JBL Stadium GTO - Both are great speakers at a great price
Amp:  Pick your poison.  Either of the 3 channels work great.  If you are going 5 channel because you want extra speakers, go with the Rockford Power Mini 1000 watt 5 channel.
Subwoofer:  JL Audio 8" W3 or Kicker Comp RT

If you choose the JBL Stadium GTO Speakers, look at adding the 2' mid range.  We can mount those in our dash speaker plates and you can have a 3 way setup for top quality sound
