Our 1973-1988 Chevy Pick Up Truck Hertz Stereo Kit offers great sound quality at an affordable price. Hertz is known for their high-quality speakers and they make some of the best sounding speakers available. With this kit, we offer the Hertz Dieci series speakers which are extremely efficient and sound really good in classic cars with their PEI dome tweeters. What differentiates these speakers from others is their sensitivity and their sound quality, while available at a pretty competitive price point. With this Hertz premium kit, we offer two Rockford Fosgate amplifier options, a four channel and a five channel. The Rockford Fosgate amps we offer in this kit match up perfectly with the speakers to give you the extra power to ensure that your stereo plays crystal clear when cruisin' down the highway with the windows down, even if you have a loud exhaust. This kit includes your choice of Custom Autosound radio, a Hertz dash speaker, a pair of Hertz Undercover 2 speakers, your choice of Rockford Fosgate amplifier, an amplifier wiring kit, 25 feet of speaker wire, and the option to add a subwoofer.
For the radio, we offer three different options, the USA-230, the USA-630, or the USA-740. The USA-230 is a basic AM/FM radio with an auxiliary input. The USA-630 has AM/FM, auxiliary input, a USB port, the option to add Bluetooth, and the option to add an external CD player. The USA-740 has everything the USA-630 has except Bluetooth comes built into the radio instead of an external option. The USA-740 also has a subwoofer pre-out and control, and the LCD display can change between 7 different color options. The USA-740 does not come with the manufacturer's logo like the USA-230 and USA-630 do.
For the speaker options, we mount the Hertz Dieci speakers to a plate that then mounts to your factory dash speaker location. The dash speakers will either be two, 3.5" speakers or two, 4" speakers, depending on your vehicle and whether you have air conditioning. For the rear, we include a pair of Hertz Undercover 2 speakers that can be mounted behind the seat. Both the dash speakers and the rear speakers are super sensitive and efficient giving you great sound quality per watt and therefore per dollar.
We offer 2 different amplifier options with this kit. If you are going to add a subwoofer, we recommend going with a 5-channel amp. You can make a 4-channel work by bridging the rear channel and just running all 4 speakers off of the front, but we don't recommend it due to tuning and the difference in power handling between the Undercover 2 and the dash speaker. For the 4-channel amplifier, we offer the Rockford PBR400x4d, mini 400-watt amp. This amp is perfect for just powering the speakers. It has a small, compact chassis and can fit virtually anywhere, all while not putting too much strain on your vehicle's charging system. If you want to add a subwoofer, the Rockford 600-watt, 5 channel amp provides plenty of power to the speakers and is matched up perfectly to power the Hertz Dieci 10" subwoofer.
Adding a subwoofer to your classic car stereo system will fill in the bottom end of your music so that you get a system that rivals a high-quality home theater setup, outperforms the "premium" factory systems that come in new cars today. We offer the Dieci DBX25.3 which is a 10" woofer that will give you the bass you want, but without shaking the car next to you.
