In today’s world, GPS technology is capable of offering so much more than navigation. That’s why Dakota Digital designed this GPS receiver to combine multiple systems into a single unit.
The GPS Speed/Compass Sender from Dakota Digital uses GPS data and accelerometers and is capable of functioning as a speedometer, compass, altimeter, and an automatically syncing clock. It uses powerful predictive software to compensate for overpasses, tunnels, heavy tree cover, mountains, large buildings, passing cars, and other obstructions that would normally impair GPS usage. Speed functions refresh 10 times per second for unprecedented accuracy.
It features an omni-directional external antenna for flexibility when installing, while its unique electronic architecture allows for lightning fast start-up and signal acquisition, yet a negligible current use when disabled.
Provides accurate speed information, compass heading, altimeter data, and automatic clock syncing, all with automatic calibration, when used in conjunction with Dakota Digital RTX, HDX, VHX, VFD3 instrument system with no DIP switches.
Outside air temperature display functionality may also easily be added with the simple addition of a Dakota Digital Ambient Air Temperature Sender (SEN-15-1).
This unIt is fully compatible with other aftermarket speedometers. It allows you to select between 4k, 8k, and 16k PPM, as well as sine or square wave output signals for endless flexibility.
Measurements: 4-3/4"x 2-3/4"x 1"
Notes:
This module supplies information to compatible Dakota Digital VHX, HDX, RTX, and VFD3 instrument systems featuring black plastic control modules. BIM-compatible control boxes utilizing a 3.5mm headphone jack BIM input will require a 3.5mm I/O port adaptor (394193). Earlier instrument systems utilizing aluminum control modules are not capable of BIM connectivity.
This unIt is NOT designed to control a shift computer or transmission shift pattern. However, It is capable of supplying a 54,400 or 128k PPM signal to supply an ECM.
This unit supercedes the Dakota Digital GPS-50-1.
