Our JL Audio CP110-W0v3 and JD500/1 subwoofer package gives you everything you the core components to add some bass to your vehicle. This kit includes the loaded enclosure, the amplifier, a 4 AWG amp wiring kit with an RCA cable, and speaker wire.
The 10" JL Audio subwoofer comes in a ported enclosure that has been designed, engineered, and optimized by the team of engineers at JL Audio. The W0 subwoofer handles 300 watts RMS, has a single 4 ohm voice coil, and is the gold standard for an entry-level subwoofer. The CP110-W0v3 hits hard and clean at an affordable price point.
It is important to note that while the amplifier is a "500 watt amp", it will only be putting out 250 watts RMS to the subwoofer. Since the JL Audio W0 subwoofers are only available with single 4 Ohm voice coils, it is important that you look at the 4 ohm power rating of the amplifier, not just what the amplifier says it is. It is a 500 watt amplifier, but the amplifier is putting out 500 watts at 2 ohms. With this kit, we are wiring to a 4 ohm load.
The JL Audio JD500/1 is 500 watt, mono amplifier from their entry level, JD series amplifiers. The JD series uses many of the same technologies as the higher-end amplifiers and delivers value at an affordable price point. The JD500/1 uses the same NexD switching technology used in the RD and XD series amplifiers and has LED clipping indicators for both the input and the output. The helps you set the gains perfectly to eliminate distortion and extend the life of both your amplifier and subwoofer. The JD500/1 amplifier is rated at 500 watts at 2 ohms and 250 watts at 4 ohms.
To connect everything together we include a 4 AWG amp wiring kit with an RCA cable and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire. The wire is 100% oxygen-free copper to ensure that your amplifier and subwoofer get all of the power they need. This wire is not the cheap, copper-coated aluminum junk. This is the good stuff
We recommend adding a bass knob to quickly and easily adjust the bass level. No two songs are recorded the exact same. Some songs have a ton of bass while others have no bass. With a bass knob, you can quickly adjust the subwoofer output up or down to your liking without having the fumble with your radio. This not only provides a better listening experience but it also protects your investment. If a song has "too much bass" you can quickly turn it down to prevent your subwoofers from distorting.
The bass knob for the JD and RD amplifiers is different from the bass knob used with the XD amps.
