The 8W7AE-3 commemorates the 10 year anniversary of the JL Audio W7 3 Ohm 8-inch subwoofer series. The 8W7AE-3 8" subwoofer is optimized to operate in a compact 0.875 cubic feet (24.78 liter) sealed enclosure, or a 1.00 cubic feet (28.32 liter) ported enclosure.

The 8W7AE-3 model comes in a single, 3 ohm voice coil. We recommend powering the 8W7AE-3 with any of the following amplifiers:

• XD600/1v2
• RD1000/1 with the gain turned down
• Slash 600/1v3

If you are only running 1 subwoofer, be sure to look at the amplifier output at 3 ohms, not just the number that the amp is rated at when completing your setup. Also, if you select an amplifier that puts out more than 500 watts RMS, make sure you set your gains properly so that you do not over power, overheat, and blow your subwoofer.
