Description
The JL Audio JD400/4 delivers 400 watts of clean, class-D, JL power for your car stereo system's sepakers. This 400 watt, 4 channel amplifier is stable down to 2 ohms. You get 75 watts of power to 4 channels at 4 ohms, 100 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms, and 200W x 2 when bridged at 4 ohms. The JD400/5 uses JL's NexD switching technology for maximum efficiency and minimal distortion. These JD amplifers now feature an LED clipping indicator which allows you to set the gain perfectly without a clipped input or output signal. You will know exactly where your head unit clips to eliminiate input distoration. In addition, the LED clipping indicator allows you to set the gain to the perfect level so you do not get a clipped signal on the output. Together, this ensures maximum power and maximum life out of your speakers by eliminating harmful distortion, the number one reason why speakers blow.
The JD400/4 has a 12dB/octave high or low pass filter and variable frequency selection between 50-500hz. You can also choose to turn the filter off and run it in "All Pass" mode. The JD400/4 has a 2/4 channel selectable input switch accepts both high and low level inputs. This allows for maximum installation flexibility as the amplifer can power 4 speakers with only 2 channels of input and you can use either RCA pre-outs or your speaker level connections.
