This JL Audio 10TW3 subwoofer package includes two, 10" TW3-D8 subwoofers and the JL Audio XD600/1v2 amplifier. With this setup, the 10" TW3 woofers will each receive 300 watts of RMS power from the amplifier if wired in parallel. JL Audio recommends between 200-400 watts of RMS power, making the XD600/1v2 a perfect fit. This is probably the ideal amp for powering two 10TW3-D4. The XD series amps are incredible with their output, signal processing, and thermal management. They just sound better than the RD and the JX.
The JL Audio TW3 woofer offer full size bass output in a thin, low profile frame. The TW3 uses JL's patented concentric tube technology to move the motor close to the front of the frame, allowing for maximum excursion in a very shallow space. Many thin woofer out there sound like thin woofers. Not the JL Audio TW3. The output on these woofers rivals their full sized counterpart, the W3v3.
The XDv2 amps from JL Audio are the "go-to" for high output and sound quality without getting into the big, expensive, constant power amps such as the HD and the Slash. XD is the perfect middle ground in the JL Audio amp lineup. With 300 watts of RMS power, the XD300/1v2 sits right at the optimal power for the subwoofer.
To get everything connected, we include a 4 AWG amp wiring kit with an RCA cable and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire. Both the amp wiring kit and the speaker wire use 100% pure oxygen-free copper to ensure that you get maximum output from your amp and subwoofers. This is the good stuff, not the cheap junk.
Please see the wiring diagram below that shows parallel wiring to a 2 ohm load. You should be able to let the amp and subs run wide open, all day long, provided that it isn't distorting.
We recommend adding the JL Audio HD-RLC bass knob to go along with the XD600/1v2 amplifier. The bass knob allows you to quickly and easily adjust the bass output from your subwoofers. Since no two recordings are the same and bass levels vary from song to song, adding the bass knob will allow you to quickly and easily adjust the bass output without having to fumble with your head unit. If you have had a bass knob in the past, you knwo what we mean. If you haven't had a bass knob, it's worth it and it helps protect your subwoofers from distorting if a song has "too much bass".
