JL Audio TW1 12" Subwoofer + Sealed Enclosure

The JL Audio CS112LG-TW1-2 is a super-compact, sealed enclosure that comes with a 12" TW1 subwoofer pre-installed with a single, 2 ohm voice coil. The TW1 subwoofers are newer, lower profile versions of the W1 subwoofer and handle 300 watts RMS. The TW1 has minimal front-end protrusion and the enclosure comes with a speaker grille, pre-installed. The TW1 subwoofer will surprise you with it's output. JL uses their concentric cone technology to mount the speaker motor closer to the front of the basket. This helps deliver full size output from a smaller, low-profile subwoofer. The sealed enclosure is going to give you tighter, punchier output than the ported version of this package, CP112LG-TW1-2-JD250-1. This sealed enclosure is also much smaller than the ported version.

JL Audio JD250/1 250W Monoblock Amp

The JD250/1 amplifier is both affordable and powerful. The amplifier is rated at 250 watts RMS at 2 ohms, but JL amplifiers always outperform their rating. This makes it a perfect match for the 12-inch TW1 subwoofer. The JD250/1 uses JL's NexD switching technology, accepts both high and low level inputs, and it comes with LED clipping indicators to ensure that you set your gains at the perfect level.

4 AWG Amp Kit + Speaker Wire Included

We include a 4 AWG amp wiring kit and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire to get power to the amplifier and the subwoofer. The wire used for both the amp wiring kit and the speaker wire is 100% oxygen free copper for maximum performance and output. It doesn't make sense to spend the money on JL Audio components and then cheap out on the wire. Don't settle for copper coated aluminum junk. We include the good stuff with this subwoofer kit.

Straightforward Wiring to a 2 Ohm Load

The subwoofer enclosure is pre-wired and termined to posts on the outside of the enclosure. The amplifier will see a 2 ohm load and you simply need to connect positive on the amp to positive on the enclosure and negative on the amp to negative on the enclosure.

Our Honest Take

This package is a great step-up option if you want a loaded enclosure, but you want something better than a W0. Also, if the W0 enclosure is big and bulky. If the W0 is too big for your vehicle, you can get a JL 12" subwoofer that requires minimal air space and delivers better-than-you-expect, clean bass. The JD250/1 amplifier is affordable and a perfect match when you look at the power handling of the subwoofer and the power output of the amp. If you want to step up to the JD500/1 or RD500/1, you can get more power from those amplifiers, but you will have the make sure you do not turn the gain all the way up. If you do turn the gain all the way up, you will blow the subwoofer.
