JL Audio CS112TG-TW3 12" TW3 Subwoofer in a Truck Box

The CS112TG-TW3 is a sealed, loaded enclosure with a 12" TW3 subwoofer that has been wired to a 2 ohm load. The 12" TW3 subwoofer handles 400 watts RMS and has dual, 4 ohm voice coils. The sealed enclosure has a low profile, truck style box that has a depth of only 4.1 inches at the top and 6.5 inches at the bottom. The sealed enclosure is designed and optimized by the team at JL Audio for maximum performance from the TW3 subwoofer.

The TW3 subwoofers are among the best low-profile subwoofers you can buy. The output of these subwoofer is similar to the full-size W3, but the low-profile design provides much more installation flexibility. Many "shallow" subwoofers available for cars sound shallow. The JL Audio TW3 is one of the exceptions and delivers serious sub-bass output without sounding shallow. The CS112TG-TW3 comes covered with high-quality, black carpet with "JL Audio" embroidery and a subwoofer grille pre-installed.

JL Audio Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier

The JL Audio RD500/1 amplifier delivers 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms, making it a great match for the 12 inch TW3 subwoofer. Since the TW3 is rated at 400 watts RMS, you want to make sure you don't turn the gain up all the way and risk blowing the subwoofer.

The RD500/1 uses JL's NexD switching technology to efficiently deliver power to your subwoofer. The RD500/1 amplifier is one of the best values among JL Audio monoblock amplifiers. The RD series amps are very similar to the more expensive, XD series. The RD amps are bigger, have cheaper internal components, and don't have JL's advanced thermal rollback technology. However, the RD amps come with LED clipping indicators. The LED clipping indicators allow you to determine where the radio clips on the input and where to set the gain on the amplifier to ensure that you never get a clipped signal. This helps extend the life of both your amplifier and your subwoofer while also providing a better listening experience, without distortion. The JD500/1 has a selectable, low-pass filter between 50-500Hz at 12dB/octave and accepts both high and low level inputs.

If you want a different amplifier, you can select from the JD500/1 to save some money, or you can upgrade to the XD300/1v2 or the XD600/1v2.

Amp Wiring Kit + Speaker Wire Included

We include a 4 AWG amp wiring kit and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire in this subwoofer kit. The wire used in both the amp kit and the speaker wire is 100% oxygen-free copper. This is the good stuff. You don't want to invest your money in high-quality, JL Audio components only to go cheap on the wire. The 100% OFC copper ensures maximum output from both your amplifier and the subwoofer.

Pre-Wired to 2 Ohms for Straightforward Installation

The CS112TG-TW3 enclosure comes pre-wired to a 2 ohm load. There are terminals on the outside of the box and the wiring is straightforward. Wire positive on the amp to positive on the enclosure and do the same thing for the negative terminals.
