The Kicker 42CWQ102 10 inch, CompQ subwoofer has dual 2 ohm voice coils and is flat-out, the best round subwoofer that Kicker makes. It isn't even really that close. The Kicker CompQ subwoofers are designed to be super accurate, sound great, and handle tons of power. These subwoofers can be musical if that's what you want, but they can also absolutely hammer. The 10" CompQ subs work in both sealed and ported enclosures.
If you compare what is out in the market, the power handling, and what you get for the money, there is not better subwoofer out there. Sure JL or Rockford Fosgate have some crazy products out there, but dollar for dollar, there isn't much that competes with this.
The CX800.1 Mono Amplifier is built for big bass in a sleek, yet affordable package. This amp uses class D circuitry is 1 ohm stable. The actual output at 1 ohm is over 1000 watts. Kicker is know for overdelivering with their amplifiers and the CX800.1 is no exception. This amplifier is pretty compact and will give the 10" Comp Q subwoofer everything it can handle and then some.
We include a 4 AWG amp wiring kit and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire to deliver power for the amplifier and the subwoofer. The wire used in both the amp kit and the speaker wire is 100% oxygen free copper. This is the good stuff. It doesn't make sense to spend the money on a high end Kicker subwoofer and then use cheap, copper coated aluminum wire.
The CX800.1 amplifier is 1 ohm stable and the Comp Q subwoofer has dual 2 ohm voice coils. You will want to wire the voice coils in parallel to a 1 ohm load. Please see the diagram below.
