Our Kicker 10" CompR and CX400.1 Subwoofer Package takes the guess work out of pairing your Kicker subwoofer with a Kicker amplifier. This kit is perfect if you want to add a subwoofer to your vehicle and you either already have a box, or you plan on building a custom one yourself.
The 10-inch Kicker Comp R subwoofer delivers serious bass output at a very affordable price. This subwoofer can handle up to 400 watts RMS and is our favorite "Step-Up" woofer in the Kicker lineup. The Comp R subwoofers are designed to hit hard while also playing very accurate. This subwoofer kit includes a 2 ohm DVC subwoofer which you can wire in parallel to a 1 ohm load, making it a perfect match for the CX400.1 amplifier.
The Kicker CX400.1 monoblock amplifier puts out 400 watts at 1 ohm, making it an ideal match for the 10 inch Comp R subwoofer. The CX amplifier is very compact given its output and it is extremely affordable for 400 watts of RMS output. The amp works with both high or low level inputs and it has a subsonic filter at 25 Hz to filter out those low frequencies that can damage the subwoofer, that the human ear can't detect.
We include an 8 AWG amp wiring kit with an RCA cable and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire. The power wire and the speaker wire are both 100% oxygen-free copper for maximum power tranmission and output. We do not include junk wire that we would not put in our own vehicles. Instead we include the good stuff.
The Comp R subwoofer included in this subwoofer package comes with dual 2 ohm voice coils. For the kit, you will wire the voice coils in parallel to a 2 ohm load to get maximum power from the CX400.1 amplifier.
We recommend adding the CXARC bass knob to this subwoofer kit. No two songs are recorded and mixed the same. Some songs have a ton of bass and others don't have enough bass. Adding a bass knob allows you to quickly and easily adjust the subwoofer level to your own personal listening preference. In addition to the improved listening experience, adding a bass knob also lets you quikly and easily turn the bass down if a song has too much bass and protects and extends the life of your amp and sub.
