Kicker 50CWCD124 Comp C 12" Subwoofer Dual Voice Coil 4-Ohm

The Kicker 50CWCD124, 12 inch, CompC subwoofer with dual 4 ohm voice coils handles 300 watts RMS and is the pefect option for an entry-level, affordable subwoofer. The CompC subwofers cost virtually the same as the Comp, but the CompC subwoofers handle more power, have the option for single or dual 4 ohm voice coils, and the woofer cone provides better sounding bass. The 12" CompC subwoofer offers several installation options. You can install it in a sealed enclosure, a ported enclosure, or in free-air applications. Although you can use these subwoofers in free-air, we recommend using an enclosure.

The the dual voice coils on the 50CWCD124 allow you to run a single woofer to a 2 ohm load or you can run two subwoofers to a 1 ohm load. Be sure to double check your amplifier's power ratings eo ensure that the amp is either 2 or 1 ohm stable.

If you want 2 subwoofers, we like the single 4 ohm version of the 12" Kicker CompC subwoofer (44CWCS124) much better so that you can wire the subwoofers to a 2 ohm load. A 2 ohm load is easier on the amplifer than the 1 ohm load you would get with these subwoofers.

For an amplifier, we like the Kicker CX series to power the 12" CompC subwoofer. The Kicker CX400.1 is perfect to power a single subwoofer, you can use the Kicker CX800.1 to power 2 subs, and the Kicker CX1200.1 to power 4 subwoofers.
