The Kicker 46CXA6605t is a 660 watt, 5-channel amplifier that is perfect for powering 4 speakers and a subwoofer. This amplifier uses Class AB circuitry for optimal sound quality for your speakers and super-efficient, Class-D circuitry for the subwoofer channel. This combination delivers the best of both worlds with the sound quality for the speakers, yet the efficient power for the subwoofer to delivers the power you expect from a Kicker amplifier in a relatively compact chassis.
The CX660.5 amplifier is rated at 65 watts per channel at 4 ohms. This output is a perfect match for most entry and mid-level car speakers. This amplifier can be used to power your car's factory speakers while also providing enough power to push the Kicker CX or Kicker KX speakers. If you are powering more than one speaker per channel, the Kicker 46CXA6605t puts out 90 watts per channel at 2 ohms.
For the subwoofer, the CX660.5 puts out 300 watts at 2 ohms. This is perfect for powering a Kicker Comp C subwoofer, or a Kicker CompRT subwoofer. This amplifier has enough output to give you clean, hard-hitting bass to fill out the bottom end of your vehicle's sound system.
This amp has 12dB/octave crossovers for both the full-range, speaker channel and the subwoofer channel. The speakers channels have a high-pass filter that you can turn on or off and the subwoofer has a low pass filter that you can also toggle on and off. In addition to the variable crossovers for both the speakers and the subwoofer, the subwoofer channel also has a subsonic filter at 25 Hz with a 24dB/octave slope. The subsonic filter prevents the subwoofer from going too low and getting damaged while producing frequencies that the human ear can't detect.
The Kicker CX amps accept both high and low level inputs. This allows you to install the amplifier using the speaker level outputs from your radio or using the tradtional, RCA outputs from an aftermarket radio. The F.I.T+ allows up to 40 volt input signal capability and has DC offset turn on options which eliminate the need for a remote wire.
In order to install this amplifier you will need an amp wiring kit, RCA cables if you have an aftermarket head unit, or speaker wire to RCA adapters if you have a factory head unit or plan to use the speaker level inputs.
