The T1 shallow is one of the few low-profile, thin subwoofer that actually gives you full sized performance. These subwoofers can handle the same amount of power as many higher-end, full size subwoofers. The 10" T1 Slim will provide the output you expect from a 500 watt subwoofer while taking up less space and/or fitting in spaces that a full-size 10" subwoofer will not. This subwoofer puts most other low profile subwoofers to shame. This is the best 10" low profile subwoofer you can buy. The 10" T1 Slim outperforms the JL Audio TW3 and the Kicker Comp RT, hands down.
To power the T1S-1x10 loaded enclosure, you can choose between several different Rockford Fosgate amplifiers. The subwoofer is wired to a 1 ohm load so it is important that the amplifier is 1 ohm stable. All of the options we offer are stable down to 1 ohm.
The Rockford Fosgate R2-750X1 delivers all of the power you expect from a Rockford 750 watt amp and does so at an affordable price point. This amp uses class D circuitry and is rated at 750W RMS at 1 ohm. But, the dynamic rating on the amplifier is over 800 watts. The dynamic rating is representative of real world, listening to music environments where you get that burst of bass, like from a kick drum. Regardless, the R2-750X1 will provide plenty of power for the T1S-1x10 and you will want to make sure that you keep the gain turned down. This will ensure that you don't blow the subwoofer and you will get cleaner signal.
The R2-750X1 comes with Rockford's CLEAN setup which is an LED clipping indicator that will tell you where your radio clips on the input, and where the set the gain to ensure that you don't get a clipped output signal. When done properly, this helps protect your investment and extends the life of both your amplifier and subwoofer as you eliminate a clipped signal and distortion. In addition to the CLEAN setup, the R2-750X1 also comes with a bass knob included.
The Rockford Fosgate P500X1bd amplifier is rated at 500 watts RMS at 1 ohm and has a dynamic rating of 700+ watts at 1 ohm. The P500X1bd uses class D circuitry like the R2-750X1 but uses better internal components and has better thermal management. This delivers cleaner signal and power for more accurate bass response. The P500X1bd also comes with the LED clipping indicators to help you set your gains to the optimal level and is just a workhorse of an amplifier. The Rockford Fosgate Punch line of amplifiers is legendary and this amp is no exception.
If you are limited on space the Rockford FOsgate Power Mini T750X1bd is the perfect choice. This amplifier has an RMS rating of 750 watts at 1 ohm and a dynamic rating over 900 watts at 1 ohm. This little amplifier will provide more power than the 10" T1 Slim can handle. Like the other two amplifier options, the T750X1bd comes with the CLEAN setup, LED clipping indicators. This amplifier is very compact and puts out a ton of power. It does however tend to run hot. If you are tight on space, this is the way to go. If you have plenty of space, we like the other two options better and they are more cost effective. With this amp, you are paying for the output per square inch.
We include a 4 AWG amp wiring kit and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire. The wire used for both the amp kit and the speaker wire is 100% pure oxygen free copper. This is the good stuff. Using oxygen free copper ensures maximum output and performance from both the amplifier and the subwoofer. It doesn't make sense to spend the money on Rockford components and then go cheap with copper coated aluminum wire.
The T1S-1x10 is pre-wired to a 1 ohm load and there are spring loaded terminals on the outside of the enclosure. You will wire positive on the amplifier to the positive terminal and negative on the amplifier to the negative terminal.
