Our Rockford Fosgate 12" T1 Slim subwoofer kit includes the 12 inch T1 Slim subwoofer, a Rockford Fosgate monoblock amplifier, a 4 AWG amp wiring kit, and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire.
The T1 shallow is one of the few low-profile, thin subwoofers, that actually gives you full sized performance. The 12 inch T1 Slim subwoofer can handle 600 watts RMS which is most than virtually all other low profile subwoofers on the market. The subwoofers have a super shallow mounting depth and the output is suprising with just how shallow the subwoofer is. This is the same subwoofer that is in my daily driver and I absolutely love it. I have tried other low profile subwoofers becuase I don't want a huge box, and this is as good as it gets for a low profile subwoofer.
The Rockford Fosgate R2-500X1 is rated at 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms, but it has a dynamic rating of 590 watts at 2 ohms. The dynamic rating represents the burst of the kick drum and actual subwoofer output in music rather than a test bench. The actual output of this amplifier is a perfect match for the 12" T1 Slim and a great value. The R2-500X1 uses efficient, class D circuitry and comes with a bass knob included. In addition, the R2-500X1 comes with Rockford's CLEAN setup technology which is an LED clipping indicator that help you optimize your gain settings while ensuring that you don't get a clipped signal. All in all, this is an affordable power option for the 12" T1 Slim subwoofer.
The R2-750X1 amplifier comes from the same product family as the R2-500X1, but this amp puts out more power and is 1 ohm stable. This amp is rated at 750W x 1 @ 1 ohm and has a dynamic rating of 830 watts at 1 ohm. With this amplifier, the kit includes the T1S1-12 1 ohm SVC subwoofer. Dropping down to one ohm gives you some head room with your amplifier. With this amp it is important that you don't turn the gain all the way up. If you do, you risk blowing the subwoofer as the amplifier can put out more RMS power than the subwoofer can handle. The R2-750X1 comes with a bass knob like the 500 watt model and also comes with the CLEAN setup, LED clipping indicators.
The Rockford Fosgate P500X1bd monoblock amplifier is a step up over the R2 line. Rockford's Punch amplifiers are going to use better internal components and have better thermal management. This delivers more actual output than the 500 watt R2-500X1. This amp is rated at 500W RMS at 1 ohm and has a dynamic rating over 700W at 1 ohm. This amp is going to be cleaner and deliver more output than the R2-500X1, but we have trouble justifying it over the R2-750X1.
The Rockford Fosgate T750X1bd is a 750 watt mini amplifier that delivers full size output and sound quality while taking up very little space. We recommend this amplifier if you can't fit any of the other three options. This amp has an RMS rating of 750 watts at 2 ohms and a dynamic rating of over 900 watts. The T750X1bd is super small and comes with the same CLEAN setup, LED clipping indicators as the other three models. However, because it is small, it generartes more heat than the other 3 models. If you are tight on space, this amp will deliver the power you want while fitting virtually anywhere. If you aren't tight on space, check out one of the other three options as they will still provide plenty of power, run cooler, and not cost as much money.
