Description
So let's talk about subwoofers and bass.  Many classic car owners look down on bass and subwoofers saying to themselves, "I don't need one of them boom boxes like the kids have that is gonna shake the car next to me."  While some of that is true, it is not true of subwoofers.  A subwoofer is a large, speaker that is designed to play bass frequencies only.  Subwoofers come in a wide range of sizes, from 6" all the way up to 19" diamters.

Many of us have heard a great sounding home theater system at some point in our life.  Or, we have gone to the movies and experienced the low, frequency bass that you can feel.  it makes it so that what you are hearing sounds and feel more realistic.  Well we can achieve the same thing in your classic car.  
The subwoofer plays the low frequencies that your regular speakers can't play, allowing you to tune your speakers so that they play the frequencies that they were designed for.
