Lavell Hall's 1969 Ford Ranger F100 is nicknamed 'Ranger Roy'.
Hall purchased 'Ranger Roy' in July of 2020. Up until that point, the F100 had only had one owner and only 119,000 original miles. The F100 is the 390 CI V8 option with 320 HP, automatic transmission, factory A/C, power steering, power breaks, and the wood grain trim package.
The truck was originally purchased new in Statesville, North Carolina in 1969 and remained there until July 2020 when Hall purchased the F100 and had it brought to nearby Lincolnton, North Carolina. The original condition of the F100 was immaculate. Hall believes it had been pampered throughout its entire life. Hall has updated 'Ranger Roy' with a new headliner, exhaust system, bed mat, and a new stereo system from Classic Car Stereos. New tires and 15" SS Crager wheels were also ordered recently and will be added to the F100 soon.
Hall's F100 has a great sentimental value to him as it reminds him of a different black 1969 Ford Ranger F100 that was owned by a friend of Halls many years ago. As a tribute to his friend's memory, Hall wanted to recreate the truck to always be a reminder of the great times they shared during their lives.
