If you want stock looking gauges, but the latest in digital technology, look no further. The Dakota Digital RTX-67C-PU-X looks like the stock gauges for your 1967-1972 Chevy truck but when the key turns all bets are off. This is as close to stock as you can get while enjoying color-changing LED backlighting, dual TFT message centers and of course late-model drivetrain compatibility. The analog clock in the center position seals the deal. Requires stock or reproduction seven-hole bezel for installation, available separately.
The RTX series series from Dakota Digital is the perfect compliment to your Antique Automobile Radio. There are 12 pre-set LED configurations, but if you want to, you can fully customize the dial and indicator LED backlighting. For full details about the LED backlighting options, click here or scroll down the page to the LED Lighting section.
Starting from scratch, CNC machined housings are filled with electronics designed and built in-house, helping Dakota Digital once again raise the bar for aftermarket instrumentation. The high-definition TFT message centers can be fully configured to display just about any piece of information needed. As you’ve come to expect from Dakota Digital, the RTX series utilizes a central control box to make installation and setup as easy as possible.
The bezel that is shown in the picture is not included. It is shown here for visual/presentation purposes. The Dakota Digital RTX 67-72 Chevy truck gauges work with both OEM or reproduction style bezel.
Over 30 user-selectable color options allow you to independently change the needle color, sweep color and digital TFT display color.
BrightnessYou can control both daytime and nighttime brightness through the setup menu. The day vs. night mode is determined by the headlight switch. When the headlights are on, the gauge brightness will switch to night mode. If you want to be able to control the brightness on the fly, the DIM-1 is a very popular accessory that allows you to adjust the brightness similar to most new cars.
12 Pre-set Themes + Infinite PossibilitiesThere are twelve factory preset color themes that allow you to quickly get to some of the most popular combinations. But, if you want to, you can completely customize each color zone yourself for your own personal theme.
TechnologyThe LED backlighting delivers sharp contrast for easy viewing regardless of the time of day. With full RGB LEDs, you can create the specific color you want. You can set it to warm white for an OEM look or completely customize it to match your vehicle, your favorite team, or whatever you're feeling at that time.
Dakota Digital instrument systems are programmed and operated by the push of a button. A two-sided rocker switch is included with each package; mount this switch in an easily accessible location when in the driving position. The rocker switch provide quick and consistent access to all functions, either in driving mode or while in the setup menu. Button-press feedback is available through the TFT Message Center, or through the included buzzer. Once configured, this same switch is used to access the wealth of information located in the digital message centers.
Mobile AppRTX instrument systems can also be completely configured through the available mobile app, suitable to Android and Apple devices. Using your existing tablet or smart phone, download the free app, sync your device to the RTX system, and enjoy quick and convenient menu navigation and real time gauge readouts for diagnostic use or a secondary display.
CalibrationAll calibration settings are handled through the included pushbutton switch or the remote Bluetooth app. While many calibration settings exist, the speedometer and fuel level are completed in most cases (unless GPS-50-2 is used, negating the need to calibrate the speedometer) through a few taps of the pushbuttons and a short test drive of the vehicle.
Dakota Digital guagues include the required sensors for oil pressure, water temperatures, and the speedometer. You may not need any additional parts, but consider these below:
GSS-3000: Universal Gear Position SensorAll Instrument packages contain a gear shift indicator display allowing the transmission gear position (Park, Reverse, etc.) to be shown within the message center. The GSS-3000 accommodates automatic transmissions with 2- 4 forward gears and enjoys a simple and straightforward installation.
DIM-1 Light Dimming KnobAlthough Dakota Digital instrument systems are programmable for both day and night intensity levels, the DIM-1 will allow rotary, or on-the-fly brightness adjustment added convenience.
SEN-06-1 - Fuel Level SensorDakota Digital instrument systems are designed to utilize a stock or aftermarket fuel level sensor. If a universal or replacement sensor is desired, the SEN-06-1 is a great choice.
BIM-01-2: ODBII/CAN Interface ModuleThe BIM-01-2 OBD-II (J1850/CAN) Interface connects directly to the ECM diagnostic port to extract engine and transmission data and supply it to the VFD/ VHX/ HDX/ RTX instrument, making installation a breeze.
BIM-17-2: Compass w/ Outside Temperature ModuleThe Dakota Digital BIM-17-2 makes it easy to add compass and outside air temperature information to your VFD/ VHX/HDX/ RTX instrument system. Readouts are visible in the instrument system's message centers; sending units and mounting hardware included.
