The JL Audio 10W0v3-4 is the benchmark for performance among affordable, entry level subwoofers. Sure, you can buy a more expensive JL Audio sub that will outperform the W0, but if you are at the lower end of the budget, you can't beat the 12 inch W0.
The 10W0v3-4 handles 300 watts of RMS power. The JL 10W0v3-4 is legendary. These subwoofers hit hard, they don't cost an arm and a leg, and are built to last.
The 10W0v3-4 will work in both sealed and ported enclosures.
The 10W0v3-4 10" subwoofer is optimized to operate in a compact 0.65 cubic feet (18.4 liter) sealed enclosure, or a 1.125 cubic feet (31.9 liter) ported enclosure.
The 10W0v3-4 is only available with a single 4 ohm voice coil. If you are only running 1 subwoofer, be sure to look at the amplifier output at 4 ohms, not just the number that the amp is rated at when completing your setup. For example, the JD500/1 and the RD500/1 are both "500 watt amplifiers" but at 4 ohms, they put out 250 watts RMS. Now, 500 watts is probably too much for a single 10W0 subwoofer but at 4 ohms, the 250 watts of RMS power is ideal.
We recommend the following amplifiers to power 1 or 2 10W0v3-4 subwoofers:
If you are not making a custom box, check out the JL Audio W0 loaded enclosures. The same engineers that design the subwoofers design and optimize the enclosures, the subwoofer comes pre-installed, and installation is quick and easy.
